NOW ON TUMBLR
Hi guys, Just letting you know I am now on Tumblr.
I will still blog here from time-to-time, but mostly things that relate my performing and what goes on behind the scenes, or the causes I believe in.
All other random posts about, life, music, movies etc will be flipped over to my Tumblr page. So those with Tumblr can reblog, heart & follow things that I like or see on there.I've also allowed the "ask me anything" page on there, where I promise to try to be more interactive, rather than with the questions that you've sent me through the contact page, here on my website.
Anyway, I am just getting the hang of it all and I'm slowly working the world - that is Tumblr - all out.
Looking forward to sharing some fun and interesting things, with you, on there.

Patron saint of music
Today is the Feast Day of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music.
A saint, so often glorified in the fine arts and poetry.
Forced to marry a pagan, her heart sung only for God.

She survived several execution attempts before being beheaded by the Romans.

Like a prayer
FNK - Having a bit of a sing:
Knocked up this arrangement in a couple of minutes and then recorded it.
Been a while since we've had a sing sing... Enjoy.

The "Ode of Remembrance" is an ode taken from Laurence Binyon's poem
"For the Fallen", which was first published in The Times in September 1914.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun
And in the morning we will remember them.

At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918 the guns
in Europe fell silent and The Great War was over.
On the first anniversary of Armistice Day in 1919, Britain and the Commonwealth
observed a two-minute silence in honour of those who had given their lives.
In November 1997, the Governor-General, Sir William Deane, issued a proclamation formally declaring 11 November Remembrance Day and urging all Australians to observe one minute’s silence at 11am on 11 November each year to remember those who died or suffered for Australia’s cause in all wars and armed conflicts.

EQUAL LOVE
Two nights ago, two of my dear friends got married.
Two people - Two humans - celebrating their love & eternal dedication to each other.
And, even though it was not acknowledged, by the Australian government, we celebrated.
We celebrated love. We celebrated a wedding! And boy, what a wedding it was -
One of the most beautiful I ever had the privilege of being a part of.
How is it possible that I live in a country where a person can marry a relative (of the opposite sex), yet same-sex marriage is still not possible under the law.
Also, I find it abominable that same-sex marriages entered into under the laws of another county are also not recognised in Australia. Yet, I can go overseas and marry the first girl I see and, well, that's that!
It's a fundamental principle of right and wrong. This is plain and simple WRONG.
EQUAL RIGHTS - by law.
EQUAL LOVE.
